VSD’s classroom- and simulation-based training for the 35-meter patrol boat training of Iraqi soldiers has recently been recognized in several news stories. The article in The Advocate specifically focuses on one of the three simulations VSD coordinated for the training: the Full Mission Bridge Trainer. Chris Myers, a project manager who has been in Morgan City from the inception of the training, explains to The Advocate the 35-meter simulations are meant to mimic situations the Iraqi Navy will face upon returning home. The current group of Iraqi students is expected to complete their training next month.
