The conference room at VSD’s corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach will be transformed into a gaming extravaganza Saturday, Oct. 15, as Team VSD and Friends participates in Extra Life’s annual worldwide 24-hour video game marathon. The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. VSD’s team will consist of eight VSD employees and eight friends, who will participate in the 24-hour “lock-in.” For 24 hours, participants will be playing video games on consoles, computers, and cell phones. The participants have been collecting donations leading up to the event, and VSD has committed to match all contributions up to $500. All money raised will benefit Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Hampton Roads’ Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
